I'd make it so that when you open/close the top an automated voice says "I am a douche and I am enjoying it." as I wink at all of the ladies. I'd also make it open extremely slowly for added effect. Then again, I'd have little interest in spending so much money on one if I had it, especially since there probably will be very few manuals on the used market. Dream=crushed.

The 991 Targa is in my dream garage right now. It seems like the ultimate DD/beater car. It's pretty practical too.

In all seriousness, though, you're right. I want to walk into a Porsche dealer that stopped carrying MT cars and say "I'll pay $10,000 extra for a targa 991." Watch their faces as they regret complete DCT-ification. The 991 is fantastic, and while I can't say I'd want one over an air-cooled Porsche, they would make for better cars for the older enthusiast in daily driving.

My local dealer has at least half of their showroom cars as manuals. The only 911s that really interest me are the 993/997/991 for some reason.

My dad is soon ordering his. Unfortunately he won't be selling it any time soon. Thats why there are no manuals on the market, because the real car guys/ Porsche collectors get manuals and never sell.

That's awesome! It must be pretty neat to work in a Porsche dealership. I love the 997 and 993, but I think the 911SC is the one in my distant future.

(source: everything else is too pricey, never driven a 911 IRL)

I drove one last Saturday for the first time!

FUCKING FAST. It was a 997 Carrera S Cabrio with a PDK. BMW dealer my dad and I were at had it as a recent trade-in, gave it to us to test drive for an hour, no supervision.
